About Our lumber
Construction lumber comes in various grades and types, each suited to specific applications and load-bearing requirements. The most common grades are Select Structural, #1 Common, #2 Common, and Utility. These grades determine the strength, appearance, and structural integrity of the wood.
The wood is typically kiln-dried to reduce moisture content and minimize warping, ensuring greater stability and longevity. Common dimensions for construction lumber include 2x4, 2x6, 2x8, 4x4, and so on, with lengths ranging from 8 feet to 16 feet, or even longer.
